i kinda got used to it better than 2nd runner
and yeah the second wun is greater in any way, but it dosen't mean i like it better
(like tales of symphonia to abyss, buts thats another matter)

i rather have the grab and throw from the first one better
it just went to the point on grabbing and throwing, and not having to worry
that it will get off your hands , i also liked it how its part of your frame's abilities
in second runner is PART of the subweapon and when you play the extramissions that forvid the use sub weapons you can't use grab at all... like WTF

and range from the blade is better than in second runner
in 2nd runner you had to be RLY RLY close to the enemy to use the blade
and it sometimes fucks up my strategies (i could BARELY do dash blades)

mainly the reason why i played it was cuz of gauntled
that is by far MY FAVORYE subweapon (2nd is homing missle)
they just fucked it up in second runner, also mummy works better in the first ZOE

battling with viola is also an ejoyable part i liked about it (specially in very hard)
its just so easy =P i can take her even without weapons (srly X3)

Having that aside, You are certainly right about the grab/subweapon thing in ZOE2
But that didn't quite trouble me... As i could just quickly press L1 to automatically chose grab and press again to choose the subweapon i was using.

My favorite sub-weapons are homing missles and gaunlet, I also love to use homing lasers everytime while im dashing like im on crack.

I just love how fast-paced ZOE2 is, My R2 button is squeeking everytime i press it due to me repeatidly mashing on it.

yes tapping the L1 brings you back to grab i know
BUT i was complaing about that you cant even USE grab in the extra missions
cuz grab is considered a subweapon, therefore it can't be used

Oh, i didnt play extra missions (Just one or two...) So i didnt know that.
I dont bother with the grab thou, Oh well...

I like ZOE story better too. ZOE2 has better graphics and gameplay, but I think the storyline in ZOE2 could have been more dramatic, better, etc. Both were awesome though.

Look I don't care how good graphics are in a game. Both graphics and story go hand in hand to a certain degree. I don't care what you say or think.

For example: Subspace (http://www.getcontinuum.com/)
A game from the 1990s. Its graphics are outdated/old, but they are SIMPLE and LIKEABLE nonetheless.

To a certain degree graphics can enhance the experience of playing a game, but you have to have a well-executed story and play in order for the graphics to make any difference. A game of eyecandy won't mean anything compared to a game with crappy graphics but blows the audience away when it comes to the actual story and gameplay; take the same game and improve the graphics and depending on whether you are doing it right, may or may not increase the positive result ratings from the audience/players...

...(continuation of above paragraph) because you CAN try to improve your game's graphics and do it WRONG, and therefore worsen the situation rather than improve it. But you can also do it right.

Also look at games like Team Fortress 2, Metal Gear Solid (for what it's graphics are worth now on the PlayStation -- played the game for the first time a month or two ago, and regardless of the graphics, I freaking loved the game).

You have to have a balance. Can you plan and design very well? (Assume yes) great! But then can you EXECUTE it as good as you can plan and design it?

Many examples everywhere -- like Dragonball Z. Awesome story/design/etc, but poor execution (could have been better executed). If you execute for a poor story/design/etc, your game will only be as good as your story/design/etc. At that point you would need to work on your story/design.

Some people can do both really well, some can't do either, and most people are good at doing one of the two over the other really well (like I'm pretty good at mapping in Half-Life, but I totally suck when it comes to innovation/storyline/plot/etc; someone needs to guide me).
