I have no idea if it had an extra booklet or not. I'm just assuming it did and that it was snatched away, along with the demo disc.

Mine has a little introduction, tons of gameplay stuff and menu screens, including subweapon info, a list of characters and mechs, all illustrated and with a little paragraph under the image. In the last four pages, there's some background information, with stuff about the different organizations, a timeline and a glossary. And then, it ends. Nothing more besides that (well, ok. It has an image and a list of phone numbers for customer service).

Don't know about the disc, but the cover is definitely different. I'm not quite seeing the point of mentioning them, though.

I brought those up because you said something was missing, and I didn't want to automatically assume it was the instructions.

Anyway, the EU ZOE1 instructions are pretty much exactly like the US (and probably everywhere else, too) ZOE2 instructions. It also seems to have all the information that the ZOE1 website has.

Read it again. This time, pay more attention to the previous sentence. What's missing is a little something related to that extra booklet whose existence I'm not sure of.

Nah, I'm kidding. You didn't get the MGS2 demo? Hm... I wonder if there are any copies of ZOE1 here that DON'T have the demo. If there are, they probably come with that larger instruction booklet you've got.

I've been busy getting MGS4 Trophies, for some reason, my brain isn't working right. I just assumed you meant you bought it used, but the whole thing was there.

But, of course, it wasn't. Because, as public knowledge dictates, no second-hand copy o ZoE ever comes with the MGS2 demo.

I bought my copy at Gamestop for $1.27 (plust tax) and it came in pristine condition, with the MGS2 demo, and I had (but chose not to take) the option of ordering the guide for an extra $3. That was the best offer I ever had at Gamestop.

Not so fast! I have a used copy with it. sadly, my PlayStation 2 is very old and has trouble reading some discs, so it won't play it.

I bought my copy of ZoE in the store (Netherlands) and it didn't come with a MGS2 demo.
Wasn't a biggie for me though since I didn't care about the MGS2 demo anyways, after playing the demo for ZoE I started hunting the game down like crazy.
