At least it looks way better than what I remember. That's probably it, yes.

(Now, all they have to do is switch those 3D cutscenes of the first game by animated ones like in ZoE2)

Hell, I don't have no 1300$ on my pocket, so I won't buy PS3, which means I won't be buying this. Ah, I seen ZOE2 trailer for the first time in 2003 and only managed to play it last year, someday I will be able to get this. Pretty cool, but doesn't make much difference to me, SOME difference, I mean, just the graphics? This remake could mean many things:

• Hideo is just releasing this because he doesn't want to make a sequel.
• He is telling us he remembers the series and WILL make a 3rd game.
• He is just lazy to make a 3rd game so he is doing this to make us wait another half decade to have some other thing.
• He is trying to expand the number of people that know and love this game in order to release a succesful 3rd game in which people will already know the story.

It's hard to guess, Hideo is really fu**ing surprising.

Well, he's said in interviews before "We've often talked about updating the game for HD" and with MGS2 & 3 being remastered, it seems it's just a "oh we may as well take this opportunity to go ahead and do it for ZOE1 & 2 too" kinda thing. I mean not to sound like a jerk but we know it's being done only because they're doing it for MGS.
