In other words, asking "how do I become a mod" will not increase your chances of getting hired but in fact, quite possibly, lower your chances. Typically, as a rule of thumb, mature forum administrators will seek out mature and rule-abiding forum members for a staffing position (so just keep that in mind), and if you can do anything extra then that's a plus (skills, talents, specials, something unique that is beneficial to the administrator and/or the community).
