What else would you expect from Konami

Re: Over Zenith
Amazing game. Loved it so much I bought a copy that I still have sealed to keep tucked away as a sacred treasure.
Too bad it will likely never see the light of day over here. Especially since it's pretty old now AND SCEA refused Konami on having a U.S. release like 2 or 3 times....
Idiots.

Re: Over Zenith
^Let's just say I got hella lucky on ebay about 3 months ago and found a sealed copy for about 60 USD. If I see another I promise to let you know (Seriously.) Quite frankly I would pay more because that is actually my favorite PS2 game ever made. The art style closely resembles my extremely specific tastes (cyber gothic.) The gameplay is great but the cyber-gothic artstyle is what drew me to it.
Here's a list of some of the few games in history that have even come close to satisfying my hunger for this style (as it closely resembles my own):
OZ: Over Zenith Quantum (originally called Quantum Theory) Dark Sektor Chaos Legion
Hell thats really about it. I'm lucky if they release anything with this sort of artistic trapping. Occasionally Yohji Shinkawa has surprised me because even he has approached this style before. Like if you look at some of the early concepts for Jehuty and Naked Jehuty, I have strong reason to believe he was influenced by Gieger's Alien (which is the first time I was drawn to this style and it has influenced my work ever since.)
Jehuty has 2 opposing thumbs on each hand like Gieger's Alien, and retractable tongue like blade depicted in a sketch of Naked Jehuty similar to the retactable dual-jaws found in Alien. There are also more subtle nuances in the spinal area leading up the back of Jehuty's Neck. The phallus like "cock" pit on Orbital Frames is reminiscent of Geiger's use of reproductive organs in his designs.
It's all theory, but I think about it alot.
And let me shutup because I could talk about this sh-- all day long if you let me.

Re: Over Zenith
Oh sure sure, anything to help a fellow fan. I am actually starving to meet people who Like OZ and other niche games with a similar flare for style.
I was actually playing Sword of Etheria (the European release) just this morning and I still love it just as much as I did when I first played it. I kept my Japanese original release sealed to hold closely to my heart.
Sadly I have only found 2 other items for fans of the game and that's the original OST and the Official Guide for the game (I hope it has some artwork because that's actually what I intend to buy it for.)
IF anyone finds anything OZ related out there that they don't intent to buy for themselves or they just want to share what they acquired please tell. Very hard finding OZ stuff.
After I play it through ( I actually only played near the end before and had to start over - lost my save) I would love to discuss it here with anyone else who's played.

Re: Over Zenith
sadly... in mexico they don't sell ass much japanese stuff -_- they are very rare and there aren't many otakus
the only way i keep up with these things is with the internet xD
and considering OZ is from konami, it would be no surprice that i knew about it

Re: Over Zenith
Yeah I know some fans have a hard time finding things where they live. Trust me Northern Florida sucks for finding things like this. I order everything online.
Orlando probably has some japanese import stores (atleast they did when I went there) but where I live we have nothing like that anymore.
So did you already get OZ or are you waiting for it to come to you in the mail?
