I have to wait for the fansubs, but those are generally pretty quick once a RAW version of the ep appears on the net. So it's all good. First 5 episodes are the slowest, once they then have the main characters all introduced it goes completely insane.

I've never liked it because of its symbolism, I've always liked it mainly because of its great story and interesting characters. And because the show is generally fun to watch. I realize you weren't a fan, but I enjoyed it very much. To each his own

But thats why I liked Rah Xephon more, its essentially Eva without the pointless "symbolism". The main character isn't quite as much a pussy as Shinji either :v
I don't dislike Eva as such, I just feel the pseudo-philosophical babble gets in the way of my enjoyment of it.

Re: what anime are you currently watching
I know this may be a little off topic but what anime doesn't have some form of symbolism in it? I mean, I can watch a simple almost childish anime and it will have some sort of meaning in it. Hell Spongebob has it.
