Europe?
I don't know if we have anyone living in the Eurozone (particularly Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, or Ireland), but the situation there seems to be heating up quickly. I hope y'all are alright!

Re: European Union Crisis
Well, I'm not really into politics. I just know that Portugal has heavy doses of stupid attached to its debt. I'm not half-aware of what's going on with Greece, but there's one thing I'm sure of: Portugal is heaven when put next to it. Everyone here talks a lot about crisis. Crisis this, crisis that... You know what? Most people in the public sector are living too well, considering our supposed state.
Anyway, I just wonder if this conflict will feed some sort of large-scale revolt and, possibly, start a whole new movement.

Re: European Union Crisis
Y'know, the US has been in this situation for some damn time, and it only makes sense that the rest of the world would follow our example sooner or later. So, I say we just do what we should have done in the first place, and bow down to our new Chinese owners.
Obviously, I'm joking.
No, all our economic troubles will probably give rise to some sort of true conflict, and new wars will pop up over money day to day. This will lead to the rise of a new, global war economy, and the big weapons contractors will get rich, fat and bloated on the deaths that occur all in the names of paying back another country.
In other words, the future that Kojima gave us four years ago will soon become a reality, and war will become routine.
Damn, I sound very cynical, don't I?

Re: European Union Crisis
Well, the situation in Europe can be thank to have chosen populist governments. Subsidies and support are good, but without creating infrastructure to solve problems is just throwing away the money. This can be see in the problem of pensions, if a government looking the increase in life expectancy does not adjust the age or years of work for pension, so will have this problem for sure.
This should serve as warning to other countries that overwhelmed capitalism and strict socialism are NOT the solution, and who say that socialism is good did not think for example that Fidel Castro and his generals do not eat the same or live like the 80% of the population who live in poverty. The only people who live well in such a scheme are the leaders and their families. And not to mention capitalism with its monopolies and labor exploitation.
That is why any economy that wants to progress must keep in mind be balanced, otherwise the countrys will continue to accrue unaffordable debts.
