New Game/Start Game, Instructions/Help and Credits, I presume? Or will there also be an Options menu?
*It will be easier if you create a font-texture and we draw all menu-items as text with code. Like ZOE2 main menu

>Also, in case I want to add animated buttons, do I create a .gif? Or do I just paste the buttons' frames in a background-less image? Any recommended FPS for said animation?
*No buttons or animations needed, just a font-texture

I will figure out how the font-texture should look later

By "buttons" I was referring to the white rectangle around the selected option, like in the ZoE2 menu. But if you'll draw that with code, then that's fine.

About the font texture, I've done most of the alphabet already. Just missing the Y and the numbers. Shall I save the whole thing as a font file? Or will a .png with all characters suffice?

Um... I would HIGHLY appreciate it if you made another set of the font fully transparent in order to use with my Windows 7 theme.

I like the ZOE font

Fully transparent? That's actually the reason for me having to redo most of it, after accidentally merging most characters with a background layer (and only noticing the mistake a couple days later).
Keep in mind, though, higher case will have the same appearance as lower case. And I'll have to make most symbols. So far, I only have the hyphen and the full stop.

it is written in C++.
C++(visual studio 2010 express) and some LUA (for media setup).

I'm using Irrlicht as graphics-engine. I will use FMOD for sound later.

Do you want to help with the code?

Goodness, maybe it's my lack of programming experience, but I find Visual Studio to be really confusing. I've got the same version, 2010 Express, but for C#. I've been working with a friend on a small game, but I feel bad for not knowing any programming. Ha ha.

OK! Updated HUD with shiny new gauges which are more similar to ZoE2's! And brand new subweapon menu!

Basically, when we start, they're all unlit and, as you obtain the weapons, their icon lights up (as shown in the examples; upper is positioning, lower are the icons themselves).

The new HUD is in the game. It looks nice and the letters shows up really good.
