And then, if you are advanced enough, check out Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND WATCHING THE LAST 4 EPISODES!!!!
Just watch to ep 1 and that's it....

After that, the main character gets bi-curious and the show becomes a catastrophic mindfuck. THERE ISN'T EVEN A FINAL BATTLE TO COMPENSATE!!!

If you want to avoid the Eva series as a whole, I recommend watching the "Rebuild Of Evangelion" movies.

There is 1 and 2, and currently, they are making "NGE 3:The Quickening", which is hopefully the final movie/chapter to the whole story WITH LESS mindrape and gay undertones.

TO be honest, the rebuilds are better than the series and movie. Check them out instead.

I might check that Tekkaman, but there a new anime called Star Driver: http://www.animedreaming.tv/star-driver-episode-1/ that seems alright. And i seen alot of Evangelion on AdultSwim a long time ago, it really got me thinking about the mind and psychological BS.
