No, I'm not a mother, but enough people have died thanks to Facebook, so I hate it.

While I've never been much of a Facebook fan (even though I use it, but it's only because it's useful to me), I think that's too much an exaggeration. People don't die thanks to websites. People die because others are irresponsible. What the irresponsible person was doing is completely irrelevant - they could be playing games, they could be out shopping, they could simply have forgotten a gun outside of a locked cupboard.

If people can exaggerate over guns and video games, I don't see why Facebook can't follow the same pattern. I've seen firsthand one family member letting another fall off a small ladder and break a leg because they decided to take out their phone and check Facebook.

I would say those specific cases are just negligence, and could've come from anything that's distracting.

In any case, any of you guys ever play sports? I wrestled for four years in school; it was one of the more physically demanding things I've done, but in the end the hard work and time spent with my teammates made me a better man.

You can exaggerate over it as much as you want but, ultimately, it's just as stupid. Blame not the object of distraction, blame the user. Always.

Never been much of a sports guy myself, but I've practiced some stuff. Used to swim from as early as I can remember until I was around 11 or 12, tried to give handball a spin (but left because I was feeling behind and the team didn't really like me, anyway), tried karate (but left because I felt left behind) and went to the gym for 2 years or so (but had to stop because I just couldn't find time for it with my schedule).
Right now, I plan on trying out archery, see how it goes.

I used to play a little basketball, back in elementary and middle school. At around high school, my interest in sports kinda dwindled. I'm still a decent soccer player, though.
