As with many video games, the creators often leave unused files in the game after production is complete and the game is released. These files can range from images, scenarios, character models, icons, sounds -- all kinds of unused items. This is common in games where the developers have many ideas that weren't featured in the game for reasons such as someone changing their mind, limits of the console, etc.

In ANUBIS: Zone of the Enders (The 2nd Runner in America/Europe), many files found on the disc are voice clips of main characters such as ADA, Dingo Egret, Ken Marinaris or Taper either replying to the push of the L3/R3 button, making comments, or giving hints to Dingo to help complete the mission. Some of the phrases sound hilarious, unfitting, or give hints at would-be scenarios that were nowhere to be found in the final version of the game.

Below are some selected examples of these sound clips (in WAV format).

While these findings are not particularly extraordinary, it reminds us how, as great of a game as Zone of the Enders is, several concepts and ideas from the developers were either scrapped or changed in the final product.
