See, I think the reason why it's so difficult for me to get into C# is because of the Microsoft Visual Studio. I hate it. Maybe it's just because I'm not experienced with the program, but I find it so frustrating to figure out. I think a lot of it stems from the templates it offers, which are supposed to make it easier. But, I find it's the exact opposite, I have no idea what any of the premade stuff is for, especially all of the other files in the Solution. And then don't even get me started on HTML5, I don't get it at all because there's just too much going on in the template. Now, I know you can make programs from scratch in VS, but even going through the menus is a pain for me.

I was taught C# and Visual Studio at school so I know how to use that. But at that time all cool APIs and libraries were only compatible with C++ so I learned that at an university. And I feel like using Visual Studio Express at it is free it. But Visual Studio or 3D modelling programs are not for the fainthearted.

An alternative when making games is to use Mono C# and Unity engine. http://unity3d.com/

You can make games from scratch with Notepad, as long as you have a compiler for the language you are using. But everything gets easier if you have some libraries to get started and editors for making levels.

If going through menus is daunting, then I can't imagine you writing thousands of lines of code and get it to work.

No need to be so harsh DanteMad.

Do you have anything ZOE-related that you want to show in this thread?

Nah, I've never made anything ZOE related. I can imagine it would be huge undertaking, and I know I would not have the capacity to accept delay or trouble without getting angry. Haha.
